Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program or PNP as its usually referred to is a special category that allows people to immigrate to Canada if they have the skills, education and work experience needed to make an immediate economic contribution to the province or territory that nominates them. They are expected to be ready to establish themselves successfully as permanent residents in Canada. In order to apply under the PNP program the candidate must be nominated by a Canadian province or territory.

In British Columbia (BC), the BCPNP offers accelerated immigration for qualified skilled workers and experienced entrepreneurs who wish to come to BC and become permanent residents of Canada. It is important to note that foreign workers who do NOT have a job offer from a BC employer will not qualify for this program. But if you are a potential immigrant, already in Canada or outside Canada, and have successfully secured employment from a qualified BC employer then you can apply for provincial nomination via the BC PNP program.

Those nominated by the Province of BC, along with their spouse and children (dependant children only), can apply for a permanent resident from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). CIC gives priority to those applications that are filed under the PNP class. It is important to note that CIC reserves the right to makes the final decision on these applications.
